Labor Day Sale

Gavigan's runs a handful of major sales events each year rather than a permanent, year-round "sale" price. Events are typically anchored to the holiday calendar — Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Black Friday, and our own anniversary event — and each one is built around specific departments. A mattress event will center on our exclusive two-sided Serta collection and adjustable bases, while a spring event usually leans toward living room upholstery and outdoor seating.

Because we are a family-owned retailer rather than a national chain, most of our best pricing comes from manufacturer buying programs we join with partners like Southern Motion, England, Kincaid, Vaughan-Bassett, Canadel, and Serta. When a manufacturer opens a program window, we pass the buy through — which is why the strongest values often appear on specific collections rather than storewide. Ask any associate which groups are currently inside a program; they will tell you plainly, and they will also tell you when it is worth waiting a few weeks for a better window.

Promotional pricing applies to regular-priced merchandise written up during the event dates, on new orders only. Prior purchases are not repriced, and promotional discounts do not stack with each other or with the tagged categories listed further down this page. Special-order pieces placed during an event keep the event price even though the furniture arrives later, so there is no penalty for choosing your own fabric or finish during a sale.
